Sumi Ink Studies | Dried Tulips III 16"x12"
 
I received a beautiful bouquet of tulips as a Valentine's gift from my husband this year, and I just loved watching their transformation. Starting out so perfectly perfect, just like the shape everyone recognizes as tulips, then the petals would slowly open to its full potential, so wild and carefree. As time goes by, the petals dried and shrank so uniquely and artistically. They are every bit as beautiful and inspiring as the fresh. Perhaps even more so. The transofmation of textures and shapes are so poetic and majestic. 
 
4 sets of 4"x6" sumi ink drawings on watercolor paper. Carefully mounted with embroidery floss on 16"x12" paper, ready to be framed as is or under a mat. Frame is not included.
